Closet transformation

So I finally finished the nursery closet transformation on Monday.  It only took me FOREVER!

Here’s a before shot of the closet that I took while I was painting the stripes.

Then I decided to paint it Farrow & Ball’s Mahogany…

…and it remained only half painted like this for a couple of months. For one reason or another, I didn’t feel motivated to finish it. I was actually dreading the remainder of the paint job and kept putting it off. But I am so happy that I was finally in a get-work-done mood yesterday because here’s how it turned out…

I’m loving how it turned out. I finished painting the rest of the walls and also painted the shelf white. I’ll probably end up changing the shelf out later with something a little different, but for now it looks fine.

The dresser is one I have had for YEARS. I was convinced it wouldn’t really work in the nursery and was looking for something different, but am so happy that I gave it a try! I really really think it looks great. What do you think?
